Computers
The library has public computers with Internet access. The library provides access to the Internet as a means to enhance the information and learning opportunities for the members of our library. The Board of Trustees has established an Internet use policy to ensure appropriate and effective use of this resource.
Access to the Internet is available to all patrons; however, this service may be restricted at any time for use not consistent with these guidelines. Parents of minor children must assume responsibility for their children's use of the library's Internet service. Prior to being granted access to the Internet, anyone under 17 years of age, along with a parent or guardian, must agree to the internet policy. Every card member is given opportunity to view the policy and has agreed to its terms as condition of carrying a library card.
There are three computers available to our library members, and are located next to the checkout desk in the front of the library.
To ensure everyone has access to the internet there is a 30 minute limit on our units. If, however, there is no one waiting, time may be extended.
A sign up sheet is available by the computers. Members are asked to write the station number and the time they log on. Computers are first come first served. No reservations may be taken over the phone.
Our computers do have filters; however, parents of young children should take internet safety into consideration when allowing their youngsters on the internet.
Printing may be done from the computers. There is a charge of $.25 per page due at the end of the session.
Members printing school work (within reason), tax forms, or job applications will not be charged.
